Talks of Magnum Café at Magnum Bloggers Meet Up
Wall’s Pakistan re-launched Magnum this month with a novel Belgian Chocolate proposition along with a brand new ‘Chocolate Truffle’ variant to add to the range. To reveal the new Magnum and the ‘Royal Treatment’ experience, the Magnum team invited a select list of food and lifestyle bloggers, along with food enthusiasts at a launch event organized at the Unilever Guest House. Food Connection Pakistan team was represented by Mustafeez Ahmed (General Manager) and Waqas Ather Saeed (On Board blogger).
The importance of blogs as the new and emerging medium of influence was acknowledged. The audience was taken through the general philosophy behind Magnum itself before the unique elements of the re-launch were shared. These included endorsements from the Magnum Brand Council, a group of opinion leaders and experts from various fields. Additionally, the Magnum airship was revealed to the attendees - this is a one-of-a-kind ‘blimp’ outdoor which can be caught circling above the shores of seaview Karachi these days - the first time any brand has brought this medium to Pakistan.

And lastly, the audience was also apprised of the upcoming plans to take the Magnum experience to the next level, by setting up a café - called ‘Magnum Café’ - that will feature Magnum desserts.
The short presentation session was then followed by the experiential part of the event, wherein the attendees were treated to the new Magnum range with Belgian Chocolate: Magnum Classic, Magnum Almond, and Magnum Truffle. The event also featured a Magnum Dipping station which found several attendees experimenting and making ‘their own Magnum’ - a concept that would later be applied at the proposed Magnum Café in Karachi.

The dipping station - as we observed at the event and further found out from our own research of the Magnum Café in Indonesia - will give the customers a choice between a vanilla and chocolate magnum stick, which would then be dipped in either Belgian milk chocolate or Belgian Dark Chocolate dip. Then one gets to dip and swirl around their Magnum sticks in a range of toppings, which may include rainbow sprinkles, hazelnut, almond, M&M’s, dried fruits, oreo cookies, raisin, white krispies and dried cranberries.
Other treats to look out for at the Magnum Café may include enjoying your favoruite Magnum with Belgian Waffles, Affogato, Fountain Fondues, Banana Split, Brownies, Cookies & Cream and Cheesecake. There might be some light nibbles, salads, soups and signature Magnum creation drinks on offer too.
There already is massive hype about the Magnum Café in Karachi. It shall be launched in the next few months. Stay tuned into Food Connection Pakistan to find out more about it.
