​Summers are just round the corner and the unforgiving sun is already shining brighter than before which means the heat waves will be our next obstacle. A season when people tend to relax and look out for the best hangout spots to calm their nerves and have a chilly drink or two. Luckily for all of us the search is over as a new café/restaurant spot has risen up after much hard work and devotion by the name of Cocktail café/restaurant at main Khayaban-e-Nishat, Phase 6, DHA.
A new name with a different meaning, the Cocktail café/restaurant opened its doors with a red carpet event welcoming everyone to its launch ceremony on the 22nd of March. The café and the fine-dine restaurant are placed side by side and yearns to cater all kind of food lovers. The separate spot for the café and the fine-dine makes it easier for the people to choose between the two according to their moods. Capacity of people in the café is about 20 and for the fine-dine around 50. The ambience of the café is merely lively and subtle, with comfortable U-shaped sofas, couches and nice tables to go with. It bears a funky vibe, nonetheless, but does contain the requisites of a proper café we desire to hangout at. On the other hand, the fine-dine restaurant looks more like a family oriented zone where the ambience and the color scheme does match with the café i.e., orange and green but in a very dim way.
The quietness and the smell of tasty food being served at this fine-dine is still new and wonderful, while the noisy gags and laughter is enjoyed at the café right next to it. Projectors and L.C.D’s are also present at both the spots as a source of entertainment for the guests. The cuisines served at the fine-dine is Barbeque, Lebanese, Continental, Mexican and Italian. The management has deeply focused on the quality and the quantity of the food as it stands out in terms of taste, satisfaction and gratification.
Amongst the servings were strawberry, lime and orange lemonade along with canapés with salsa sauce, mini burgers, bread with cheese canapés, pineapple and olives. Only a handful of people joined the launch event of cocktail, mostly close relatives but it was conducted smoothly and with ease.
The cocktail is certainly newly born, but it has the potential and the motivation to go forth with its increasing number of customers and brilliant feedback regarding the entire setup of this halcyon joint. And what’s more, the students and facebook members will be granted special discounts for their hospitality and commitment towards this café- cum- restaurant as well.
